Goals and tasks

• Identification of new developments and technologies with benefits for the field of heat treatment and materials engineering. Impulses are also to be sought from non-subject and/or interdisciplinary applications.
• Evaluation of social and political trends for development potential for new technologies. (e.g. digitalisation and artificial intelligence for the optimisation of processes in heat treatment)
• Making the knowledge gained available to the technical committees of the AWT
